Best Modern European Restaurants in Whittlesford

Every visit to Provenance is memorable. Every mouthful is delicious and always served by such charming staff who add to make it special occasion. Genuinely one of my favourite places to eat. Thank you.

I took a friend with me who had never eaten at Lussmanns. To say she was delighted would be the understatement of the year! She chose the Smoked Haddock & free range poached egg and said it was quite the best she had ever tasted. She was equally pleased with her dessert, which was which was the Bramley apple crumble with Barnet ice cream, hazelnuts, and rosemary. I chose the chickpea and spice tomato hotpot and the sticky date and ginger pudding, whose sauce was exquisite. My friend is going to make sure her son takes her there as soon as possible.

Incredible food as always. Francesco our waiter was really nice and personable. He apologised for any delays but to be honest it was nice not to be rushed on what’s usually one of the busiest nights.

This was my first experience at a Lussmanns restaurant and Lussmanns Hertford was a lovely experience. The manager was able to kindly reseat us, as I wanted to sit further into the restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the Cornish cod and market vegetables and apple crumble with a rather nice dessert wine to finish. Our waiter was very professional and provided a great service. I will definitely be back, there are so many things on the menu I would love to try. 

Another excellent meal from the chef, Josh. Two of started with the salt cod which was stunning. I had the Monkfish in a mouclade sauce, which was suberb and everyone else at the table had the venison which was tender and delicious.
