Small boutique style restaurant, the decor and lighting is lovely. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Friendly chat and great advice about the wine. We had a Fixed Pice lunchtime slot but were not rushed at all, presumably our table wasn’t needed early evening because we were left to leave at a time of our choosing. The food was delicious, with first class presentation. Would highly recommend to family and friends, and we will definitely be back 👍

I would easily rate this my favourite spot for a roast dinner on the wirral. It’s a nice quiet atmosphere, not for everyone who might like a bustling pub. Service is attentive and friendly. The food, incredible… the beef is thinly sliced but still with a nice pink in the middle, great mix of veg and beef dripping crisp roast potatoes with a giant Yorkshire - but it’s the gravy that makes it - red wine jus meats gravy (pun intended). Must dine!
