Best Southwest American Restaurants in Placitas

The food was well prepared and excellent with ample portions. Noise level was good but the room was not crowded. Service was very good and not overbearing. More restaurants should be this way where the chef takes the time to prepare a meal with great flavor.

The Steak Dunnigan's recipe has been changed, not necessarily for the worse, but changed. The steak was, oddly, too thick, thus making it hard to cook rare without becoming squishy in the center. The zucchini appetizer and the churro dessert were excellent. The atmosphere is, quite definitely, duller and less colorful than it once was. Nice, plain, quiet, but dull.

Wonderful table side guacamole and margaritas! Our dishes were delicious and the atmosphere was festive and cozy.

Warm Tortilla chips, Salsa and Queso to start off with, then the Posole and Tamales and Sopapillas were great!

The guacamole which is made at your table is fantastic! The “Arizona Chimichanga”, however, was just OK.
