Best Bistros in Cow Hollow

Another amazing meal at our favorite French bistro in San Francisco. Sit at the bar for more room and great people-watching. We had the most perfect escargot and steak frites that we have ever eaten anywhere in the world. Do not come here expecting a restaurant. It is a traditional french cafe/bar with incredible food and service.

We had such a nice dinner last Valentine's Day at Isa that we wanted to celebrate there again. And Isa did not disappoint. The four course menu for $99 had almost all of the dishes from their regular menu. For our first starter we tried the potato leek soup, and for the next course we tried the oysters (which the couple at the table next to us raved about) and the goat cheese with tomato and basil pesto. For our entrees we both had the roast chicken, which was perfect - crispy on the outside and most on the inside. Everything was delicious. For dessert we had the amaretto semifreddo which was also excellent. We will definitely be returning to Isa soon.

A warm cozy place to meet friends for Happy Hour. We enjoyed delicious fresh oysters, fries, and a nice Chardonnay. Our waiter Anthony was fantastic.

Had an outstanding experience . Christian, our server, provided exceptional service throughout the evening - attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. The burger was perfection, juicy and flavorful. Their wine selection impressed me, and Christian's recommendations paired perfectly with our meal. The combination of remarkable food and top-tier service made for a memorable dining experience. Will definitely return!

A somewhat different breakfast entree - smoked polenta with pork, cilantro and seasonings. Delicious and unique. Almost better still - the best hot tea I've ever had in a restaurant. The tea itself was superior English breakfast blend but it was served truly HOT in a double-walled metal teapot with loose tea leaves infused in a basket, and the second large ceramic cup of tea was as hot and perfectly brewed as the first. As an inveterate tea-drinker, believe me when I say this was a completely singular presentation in my (usually somewhat disappointing) experience. THANK YOU.
