Best Barbecue Restaurants in Willow Park

Food was absolutely delicious! I loved how you can just order all the different kinds of meat separately! Great place for a carnivore! Drinks were top notch as well. If you’re a whiskey drinker this is the place! Server was very good and she was very friendly! Was a busy place and we barely waited at all! Highly recommended!

We've always loved this place, being one of the two seriously good churrasco-style restaurants here in Calgary. (There are others, but I think they're hard to take too seriously). Gaucho moved a couple of years ago to a new location on McLeod and Southland, and we'd not gone since then. Nothing says Happy Valentines like roasted meat in huge quantities, so we decided to give them a try. Well, something's definitely changed besides the venue. If anything (and I don't know how they did it), the food, service, ambiance are all markedly better than they were before; I think the word "spectacular" wouldn't be putting it too strongly! Absolutely everything was perfect. We'll definitely have to try "the other place" to compare, but I don't see how they could possibly top our Valentine's Day experience at Gaucho. Top marks to them!

We had family come to town and we thought Hayden Block would be a great place to take them as they love barbecue. The ambiance in the back with the fireplace is fantastic. It was great that my 16 year old nephew was able to enjoy the spot as they allow minors until 8:00 pm. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The brisket was very tender. All of the sides were excellent. If you are a whiskey drinker they have an incredible selection which is half off during happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.

Great AYCE, though they have changed it to “get up and go get your own stuff” from the buffet, instead of bringing what you’d like to the table. It’s good and bad as you have less overall time to sit, cook, and enjoy, but you can also grab as much of you want of your favorite proteins. Also, Tteokbokki is no longer included in AYCE, it is a side order. Overall, for the discounted price at dinner, well worth it and an enjoyable meal.
