Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in St Leonards-On-Sea

Im a war vet with ptsd, I called to get a quiet table etc. The help was there, service and provisions excellent! We sat upstairs, quiet, lovely and Phoebe our waitress was attentive, helpful and kind. The food was as awesome as the reviews I'd made my decision on. Had the steak to share, oysters and cheese. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for so I can't complain. Steak served already sliced ! Maybe that's standard or thoughtful because I'm a left arm amputee. Ill be returning, go! You'll love it.

Our first visit to this restaurant ( on a recommendation ). Excellent , freshly cooked ,authentic and well presented Italian food , with efficient and friendly service . Not cheap , but good value for the quality . We live over an hour away , but are very fond of Hastings old town , so we will be back .

The food was perfect, good quality ingredients well cooked and just the right amount. The staff were polite and informative nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant was cosy clean and had a great atmosphere. Going back next week

We had a great lunch for three of us. The only challenge was choosing from the many excellent choices on the menu. The staff were so friendly and attentive. A great place which lived up to our memories of previous visits.

We went for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. Cocktails are amazing, food was delicious, decor was great. The only downside was that the service was very slow and waiting staff not very attentive as in we sat with empty glasses for a long time and no-one came over to the table really except to take our order or serve the food. Also not enough gravy on the roast but that is a personal preference. Overall though loved The Hengist and would definitely go back!
