Zara’s Restaurant has been a dream of mine since I moved to the United States in 1983 with my husband. As a Pakistani who married into a Kashmiri family, my passion for cooking has always been rooted in quality, community, and tradition. After working in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I decided to pursue my dream of bringing a taste of home to the U.S.Zara’s Restaurant is an authentic and unique Pakistani cuisine in an elegant setting that offers rich savory flavors, clay oven cooking, and a colorful assortment of spices. Our barbecued chicken, kabobs, and lamb are delicately marinated and cooked over a flame, creating a taste that cannot be found in an ordinary kitchen.I named Zara’s Restaurant after my first granddaughter, and you can trust that we serve our food with love and pride. Lucca’s is an oasis in a vast wasteland. The food, service and ambiance are great. But what sets this place apart from other great Italian restaurants is the live music. As a musician myself, I can assure you that the live music at Lucca’ is not just nice. It’s phenomenal — seriously fantastic pro musicians and great singer. (We heard Eddie Bruce sing and he is nothing short of terrific.) No other restaurant in the philly area has this kind of tremendous vibe. When you go, show some respect and dress up !! Love the dress code, too. As a first timer, I just can’t say enough good things about this spot.

Mediterra is hands down our favorite restaurant in Princeton. The servers are attentive and helpful, the bartenders and chefs are top notch, and we've never ordered anything off their pleasing menu we didn't love. Their pastaless lasagna (a vegetarian dish) is the best I've ever had anywhere (and I'm not even vegetarian.) Their homemade whole grain bread is outstanding (as is the seasoned olive oil they serve as an accompaniment) and we always enjoy their shellfish, cocktails and seafood, too. Plus, they're open all day, for those who like later lunches and they have a great dog-friendly outdoor seating area with heaters for cooler days. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I do so wish they'd bring back their delectable mushroom tacos and continue the vegan menu they offered last month, as we have many vegan friends we'd like to invite. That said, they are very accommodating about making adjustments to existing offerings where they can. Oh, and fabulous cocktails and wine menu too.

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. A lot of the interior decorations was left over from the previous restaurant (Palace of Asia). All in all, a very enjoyable dinner.
