Best Gluten Free Restaurants in South Elgin

I don’t take the time often to leave a review but Balmoral truly impressed! Relaxing ambience, classy and casual at the same time. Service was perfect, should out to Connor! Let’s get to the food! Scotch egg to start…best we’ve had! Not an easy feat but the chef did it perfectly. Husband had Lamb Shank, perfectly cooked and the gravy was something to write home about! WOW! I had the rainbow trout that was seasoned and cooked to perfection as well. Sides were great! Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, even if you have to take some home. We will be back! Please try Balmoral…great special dinner for date night, friends or family! Bagpipe a special touch!

Went for happy hour and was not disappointed. I do wish they would have some hoilday decorations up. But food and service was prefect.

The food is absolutely delicious. I had the steak which was done just perfectly and my wife had the linguine which she said was perfectly al dante. We also had the calamari,which was very good. Our server was outstanding, and the noise level was very low, so you could easily carry on a conversation. The only negative I would possibly have would be as we were leaving. I told the hostess that we had a great server and that it seemed to me like she was working the whole room. She snapped back that our server was just a drama queen. I think she thought the server was complaining to me, which was absolutely not the case, as she was incredibly professional. Rather, it was an observation on my part. Kind of left a final bad taste on an otherwise perfect evening. Maybe the hostess was just having a bad day. We will absolutely go back and enjoy another meal there. Maybe they'll be a more professional hostess next time.

I wish I was allowed to give La ZaZa Trattoria 10 stars because this place is fantastic! Everything cooked perfectly, great service and reasonable prices for what you get. The Wagyu Steak special was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten, (cooked perfectly to order) and I’ve dined at some of the finest steakhouses in the country. If I lived in the area, I’d be here every night!! Awesome restaurant!

The happy special was great. Very good burger. The service was good.
