We started Fatto a Mano in Brighton in 2015, serving authentic and affordable Neapolitan pizza, made with fresh ingredients, in a friendly environment. For us, everything starts with our dough.     Overall the food was good. We had the small plates. The beetroot salad and chantilly carrots were delicious. The crispy cauliflower was disappointing as it was soaked in a sauce resulting in it being soggy rather than crispy. The major dissappointment however was the ambience. We were seated in the area near the bar where there was an excessive use of spotlights so it felt like an interrogation bay. Had we gone on another evening when less busy, we would have asked to be moved.

    Absolutely brilliant pizzas - mine was the white pizza with burrata and parma ham, my son had the daily special, a sort of spicy arrabiata with nduja. They offer 500cl carafes of wine, perfect for an early lunch. Do try the starters too - my nduja lasagne fritta were amazing. Very cheerful service, and prompt for a busy Saturday - but then we did book for 12 noon! By the time we left at 1, the was a queue of eight or so parties outside. We were very grateful to the table next to us for making sure we went to the football stadium by a sensible route and didn't try to walk!
