Set in the impressive former 1930s Hitchin ballroom, on the first floor, Hermitage Rd restaurant & bar boasts a seasonal, award winning and sustainable premium food offer, from the awarding winning ACI team and a bar renowned for it's bespoke cocktails, quality wine and beer range. Recently refurbished.Additionally we also have a street-level wine bar, which we collaborated with the award-winning Nyetimber to create. We had a wonderful 3 course meal here. Food was great, the staff were polite and attentive. The restaurant was cosy and well laid out. Prices are quite high, but the quality of food and drink was great. I would have liked our main ( halibut) to have come with chips or boiled potatoes, but you have to order them separately. That is my only slight grumble on a very good evening out. Well worth a visit.
