- JJoevipSan Francisco Bay Area •16 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoIt was a cold, rainy and raw evening so entering Via del Corso was a welcoming relief to the harsh external conditions. The enthusiastic and genuine smile of the hostess instantly made me forget about the weather. Claudia, my waiter, was exceptional: Thoughtful, attentive, very knowledgeable of the wine list & menu and responsive. I ordered the Lattuga (Little Gem) salad, Ravioli Stuffed with Braised Oxtail and paired it with a bottle of 2019 Brunello Montalcino, a perfectly structured Brunello. I finished dinner with the delicious Budino Di Cioccolato, which paired nicely with my Brunello. After such an exquisite dinner, I bravely faced the rain and high winds as I waited for my Uber. Verdict: Don’t let bad weather stop you from enjoying a wonderful dinner at your favorite restaurants in the EB. Make that reservation; call your Uber or Lyft; and enjoy yourselves while supporting our fine restaurants.More infoVia del CorsoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Berkeley•4.9
- DDeborahSan Francisco Bay Area •51 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoNice spot! It was our first time in, we've been meaning to go for ages. Initially, the arrival experience was definitely lacking, but at the table service was lovely and attentive. The menu is smaller, and more California Italian than traditional Italian, but everything we ordered was tasty, and the portions are very generous. The noise level was much louder than expected - it's not a great choice if you're looking to enjoy a quieter conversation - but it seems great for younger families or other groups or 3 or more.More infoCreekwood RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Italian• Berkeley•4.7
- BBetseySan Francisco Bay Area •16 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoThe food was very good. If you are looking for pizza, there are lots of choices. Not so many non-pizza ones. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drink options. It was noisy but not so noisy that we couldn't have a good conversation. Our only complaint was that our table was in front of the door so every time someone came in, we got hit with cold air.More infoA16 RockridgePrice: Expensive• Italian• Oakland•4.5
- IIlanavipSan Francisco Bay Area •13 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024One of our favorite “neighborhood” restaurants for a dinner that is classy without breaking the bank. Great cocktails, wide selection of appetizers, pasta, and entrees — well prepared and nicely presented. The bacalao (salt cod) appetizer tonight was outstanding, the cod like little puffs of cloud on top of polenta cubes. There’s something for everyone, whether they like meat, fish, or vegetarian stuff. The vibe is casual but you definitely feel transported out of daily life (to an Italian trattoria?) and well taken care of. My one caveat is that the pasta servings are on the small side, but I guess that’s better for my health. 😆More infodonato&co.Price: Expensive• Italian• Berkeley•4.6
