Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Flower District

I took my friend for her birthday and it was an amazing experience. They truly made her feel so special. Thank you to the amazing staff. There was only one man working when I went . Granted it was a very quiet Monday afternoon but nevertheless it was nice and sunny. We truly felt like we had the place to ourselves.

The Living Room at The Peninsula – 5 Stars Afternoon tea at The Peninsula is pure luxury. From the elegant ambiance to the live harp music, every detail makes you feel like royalty. We opted for the traditional tea set, and I chose the caramel pear tea, which was subtly sweet and fragrant—perfect for a cozy afternoon. The desserts? Absolute perfection. Every single one was beautifully crafted and delicious. The sandwiches were just okay, but let’s be honest—the real stars were the scones. Fresh from the oven, warm, flaky, and paired perfectly with the lemon curd and raspberry jam. If you’re looking for an elevated tea experience in LA, this is it. Highly recommend!

My afternoon tea experience at Dahlia was so wonderful, that I already made three more reservations! Beautiful ambience, delicious food/tea/cocktails, and amazing service from Lluvia (the lovely woman in charge of the tea service). I had the vegan tea and my friend had the regular tea, and we were both super pleased with the yummy offerings and delightful presentation. Can’t wait to go back!
