Beautiful find! Decor and ambience were incredible! The service was the best we’ve ever had, the waiter was amazing!

Fabulous king prawn & chorizo starter followed by king prawns with linguine in a spicy tomato sauce… It was a perfect afternoon meal…

First time visit to this local pub / restaurant and we felt lucky getting a table as we only booked it today. . Beautiful old building and friendly greeting upon arrival. Shown to our table in the busy restaurant and service was very good. Friendly staff and fantastic food. Everything appeared to be homemade which was really lovely. This place delivered! Only negative was we were seated upstairs near the corridor where the door is so it was cold. Apart from that it was excellent and we will return.

Another fantastic experience of excellent food and very attentive, knowlegeable staff. This is our second time dining here. last year for my daughters birthday and this year as we knew we were going to be in the area. Thank you to all the amazing staff. Simon, you should be so proud of them and the food you produce.

From start to finish going to Stage is a wonderful experience. The ambience is casual, intimate but not stifled. Grace is a fabulous staff member who is warm and enthusiastic about the menu. The food was again totally delicious- we have never eaten the same dish twice. The presentation is always thoughtful but unfussy. I particularly enjoyed the celeriac dish that kicked off a beautiful stream of dishes. The chef serves along with the other waiting staff and seems genuinely interested in diners food experience. He is so talented. We love this restaurant- it is the best dining experience in Exeter and is incredibly good value for money. We have already booked our next visit.
