Best Lunch Restaurants in Totnes

We had the set lunch menu... I love short menus! The food was colourful, tasty and beautiful to look at. The Beetroot Samosas are mini works of art. The staff are warmly welcoming, not intrusive and obviously well-trained in the fine art of service... (a rarity these days, sadly) and much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will return.

We thought that the cooking was very good, the service was friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. However, given the high prices, the ambience/decor were somewhat basic and the chairs uncomfortable. the star of the performance is undoubtedly the food, with interesting combinations of flavours, very fresh and using local produce.

An amazing venue (13th century) amazing food and attentive, lovely staff. Quite and very relaxed.
