Parking Please note we have a car park on-site however it can get very busy and is limited. Please respect the neighbours when parking on-street by not blocking their driveways. As you walk into the Peacock you get the feeling of history, built in 1652, the hotel was originally used as a dower house for Haddon Hall. The link between the two survives today as Lord Edward Manners brought the hotel back into his estate in 2004, the hotel has many pieces of unique furniture and art work from the Estate. The Bar is another step back into the past with a copper topped bar and untouched surroundings, the extensive cocktail and drinks list can be enjoyed in the bar or lounge before dinner. Our restaurant team have been the proud bearers of three AA rosettes–the top ten percent in the country. Absolutely fab meal for valentines, the restaurant was decorated beautifully. The waiter was very knowledgeable on all of the dishes and drinks. As a gluten free diet there was plenty of selection. Will definitely be returning soon.

Fast service. Exceptional food. Friendly efficient staff. Clean & comfortable with a cosy atmosphere. I highly recommend The Allotment Vegan Eatery. We'll definitely be returning.

The food here is very good. There is a good range of pies, all are delicious. On Friday we had fish and chips. On "Fish Friday" it is £30 for two. The fish was huge, with lovely crispy batter. There is a choice of chips or fries, and mushy or garden peas. They come with tartar sauce. The staff are all lovely. Really friendly and helpful. I have recommended this pub to friends.
