Our experience at Bravo was a bit mixed. Our 7:00 p.m. reservation table was not ready, we were asked to wait. Our party of four went over to the bar where there were several empty high top tables available. We sat thinking we would just get a drink until our tabled was ready. Despite three or four staff running in / out, and around the bar, we are not acknowledged. I went to the bar and sat for about 3 minutes until Jessica acknowledged me and asked if I wanted anything. I explained our situation and asked if we could just eat at the high top. Jessica was great. Heavy pours on wine, and despite being busy gave great service and had a great attitude. Jessica was the only great thing about our time at Bravo. The salmon dish she recommended was pretty good, but the fish was not fresh, it had obviously been frozen. I can't recall the name of the dish, but we had a fettuccine, chicken with spinach, and it was obviously from a frozen bag. The desserts weren't any better. Marscapone Carmel cheesecake was...meh. The molten chocolate cake was microwaved and spongy. I hope Jessica finds a restaurant who's food and management matches her service.

Restaurant Review: Volare Italian Restaurant If you're searching for a taste of Italy right here in Louisville, look no further than Volare Italian Restaurant. Nestled in the heart of the Clifton Neighborhood, Volare transports you to a charming Italian eatery with its warm ambiance and is so inviting. From the moment you walk through the doors, the exquisite service sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you Jonathan! The staff at Volare are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Each team member is well-trained to provide recommendations with poise, ensuring that you feel well cared for throughout your visit. They strike a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, making you feel like a valued guest. This is why I am a dedicated patron. The menu at Volare is diverse yet focused, featuring everything from classic pasta dishes to fresh seafood entrées, all prepared with authentic ingredients and bold flavors. The homemade pastas are a stand-out, perfectly cooked and served with rich, savory sauces. The tomato sauce is a house special in itself. For those looking to indulge in something sweet, the dessert offerings are sublime. The tiramisu is light and airy, beautifully presented, and the perfect way to finish an exquisite meal. Do not leave without trying the heath cheesecake as well! With superb service and an outstanding menu, it's a place where memories are made, whether it’s a romantic dinner for two or a lively celebration with friends. If you haven't yet experienced Volare, you’re missing out on a true gem in Louisville’s vibrant culinary scene.

Food was very well prepared with great presentation. Oysters were very fresh and clean with a great cocktail sauce. Lobster bisque was very flavorful, not too thick, and the lobster chunks weren’t overdone which is easy to do in a soup that is baked en croute. Crab cake had very little filler (could have used a little salt), simply topped with a seasoned crunchy breadcrumb for a wonderful texture. The burger tasted great but was slightly underdone (we requested medium rare). The standout was the service. Between Chrissy our server, and the very attentive support staff, we had a lovely conversation without it being overbearing. Would go back just to have Chrissy again as our server and try some more of the mains and pasta. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Today we got an email from Buca di Beppo and decided to go there for supper. Made reservations while we were on our way and walked right in and was seated by their host. Tonight Diego was our server and he was right there as soon as we walked into the Rome Room. He was very attentive to us. He brought us bread loaves as soon as we gave him our drink order. Tonight we ordered Lasagna. We ate some bread and within 5-10 minutes Diego was back out with our Lasagna, which looked delicious and was steaming hot. We enjoyed the Lasagna and bread and we loved listening to the recorded Italian Music and guessing who the artists were. When we finished eating, Diego came over and asked us if we would like Dessert or Coffee. We told him we were really too full and so he cleared the table and brought us boxes and went to get our check ready. Diego did a really great job and we would like to have him again. It was the first time we had him for our server. We really like the servers that Michael the Manager/Chef and Dino the General Manager hire. We love the food and the Ambiance. We felt like we were in the house of my husband’s Italian Grandparents in 1955. Robyn
