This place never disappoints. The meals and the service were both amazing. I never thought I would ever order fish from the best Italian place in Pittsburgh but I ordered the Dover Sole and it was amazing. Of course with a side of pasta. Perfect night with a client and a great experience at Alla Famiglia!

I have looked to Alta Via as a special occasion, fine dining Italian option since I moved to Pittsburgh and was doing take-out only dining during the pandemic. We finally got to eat there for a family member's birthday. The quality of the pastas, the thoughtful flavor combinations and the ambience made it feel special. The service was attentive and helped us celebrate the birthday! And, they've added mocktails, which were spot-on food pairings.

What an experience! I can’t wait to come back. The ambiance of the restaurant is incredible and the food was even better. We shared some appetizers and pasta plates and it felt like each dish was better than the next. From the minute we were greeted by the host, the service was top notch. The general manager made the experience over the top. He offered my fiancé a free wine pairing with his dish and even brought us dessert and celebratory champagne to celebrate our recent engagement. I wish I had tried this restaurant earlier-one of our new Pittsburgh favorites, we can’t wait to be back!
