    This was my second time dining at the Poached Pear. The first time the food was very good. I ordered the corvina fish that had a sauce with several items. My first bite tasted fishy. That was it for me. I just picked at it. I tried eating more the next day but ended up throwing it away. The other two diners ordered scallops. They also did not taste great. On the other hand our salad was delicious, the risotto was very good. I shared the apple compote that came with vanilla gelato and that was also very good and the portion large enough to share. Our server was very attentive and very pleasant.

    By far my favorite restaurant on the planet. Poached pear has the best food, chef, host and staff of any restaurant I have ever been to. I have been going there for a decade and will continue until I fall off the chair. Chef is a genius artist. Can’t say enough good things. My wife and I go every time we come back to NJ. God bless yall and thank you to everyone there that makes dining here such a great time and experience.
