                                                          The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, but unfortunately, the food fell short. The steak was overcooked, charred black on the outside, and arrived barely lukewarm. The salads were also disappointing—definitely not up to par. The only highlight of the meal was the bread, which was enjoyable. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, especially considering the expectations set by the atmosphere.

                                                          Party of three dining early before concert in St. Louis. Service and kitchen speed were great. We were done thirty minutes before we expected and the timing of the whole meal was perfect. Food quality was not as good as on previous visits. Pepper steak portion was much less than 8 oz - probably closer to 5 oz which one would not expect cooked medium - and not particularly tender. Other entrees, salads and appetizers were very good. We will definitely return in hopes this was a one-off poor experience.

                                                          Porter’s used to be excellent. Now it is not. We were ignored by service, the food was late and cold, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls and somehow they manage to charge more than far superior steakhouses. Skip this.

                                                          We eat a lot of places that charge similar prices. This is far and away the worst of them. 2 filets orders medium rare were both totally charred. 30% inedible. Menu says the steaks come with 1 side but was charged for the side on top of the price shown in the menu. Dessert was ok. I would not eat here again and do not recommend you spend your money here either, even if it is convenient being attached to the hotel. Service was average. The server was nice but I think beyond her control things moved very very slowly.

                                                          Food was excellent as usual. Our server Laura was amazing. Maybe she should run for office somewhere. Just kidding. She’s my daughter. She’s still pretty amazing though.
