   Had a wonderful traditional Thanksgiving dinner in a nice and festive atmosphere. The service was fast and the food very good! I highly recommend the place!

   Lovely place to have Thanksgiving dinner. This was the first year we didn’t cook and we really enjoyed coming to a place that had all the great fixings. Just delicious.

   Disappointed in Thanksgiving meal. Turkey dry, Brussel sprouts very salty. Salad good but one plate for two people lacking.

   I usually love Proof on Main and have gone there on Thanksgiving twice before. This year's menu was fine but nothing special. Each of the sides were good, but nothing I could not make better at home. The dessert course was particularly disappointing. There was a pumpkin bar that was good with the cream, but there not much cream. A dollop would be a good description and the entire thing needed the cream, not just the corner. There was also a small cherry/cranberry "cobbler" and I would think of it more as a cherry/cranberry compote (maybe ) with some crumble on top. A weird choice since cranberry sauce was served as part of the meal. It was good but not high end restaurant good. Then there were two over baked cookies that I did not even try, as they looked very dry. My husband said they were poor. I never before felt like Proof on Main seemed like a hotel restaurant until today. Hope they work on the dessert menu for next Thanksgiving. The service was very good, as usual and I love the look of the restaurant. To me, the highlight of the menu was the cornbread muffins with butter and molasses. It was the best cornbread I have had but I foolishly only ate half of a muffin to save room for dessert.

   What a menu! Make sure to start with the amuse bouche, the mini arancini was perfect. The mushrooms appetizer is unlike any I've had; warm, cold, crispy, umami, tangy, creamy. The trout was warm and briney but offset by a beautiful char on the skin. Fantastic dining experience, exceptional vibes. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Lousiville.

   Great food and service! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was conveniently located, walking distance from our hotel on Main Street in downtown Louisville.
