Overall very nice place with excellent my service. The filet want as ten newer and flavorful as I worked expect from this place being a long standing well reviewed high end steak house. We also got an appetizer from the specials-shrimp and crab cocktail which we didn't care for, crab was fishy and drowned in cocktail sauce.

Our first visit to 1776 since moving to area. My wife and I compared the food and surroundings as better than other fine steak houses in New York or “Cagneys” on cruises. Our waiter, Paul, was excellent! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive - and he added positively to our dining experience. The food was prepared perfectly! Thank you for the experience and we will return often Paul and Kathy Szklarski

Everything was as expected. Good food in a very nice atmosphere. The piano music is a very nice touch. We had a good dinner and will go again.
