We’ve been there before and loved it. This time we drove the two hours from our home. Service and food was top notch. Food was amazing. There was a young boy in his pajamas in a high chair seated with his family by the door. He yelled, cried and or screamed almost the entire time. We paid almost $500 for our meal and heard a child screaming the whole time. We would have stayed for a drink and dessert but couldn’t get out fast enough. Young kids should not be allowed.

Service was great. Food was mediocre. Ordered the ribeye medium rare but came out more medium. Cut was thin, almost like a skirt steak. Mushroom was prepared 2 ways: salted vinegar, which was too vinegar and soy, which was too salted. We were celebrating a dual birthday but no celebration from the restaurant (candle, complimentary desert or anything special). Ambiance was, eh, although we had one of the best table. Probably would not return as it was just ok. A little disappointed since we made reservations here to celebrate but walked away feeling we could have enjoyed dinner elsewhere.

Overall good experience, unfortunately our wagu tenderloins came out extremely overcooked. The server however was very attentive and had our whole meal promptly re-prepared.

Wow. We had our wedding dinner here and 1888 surprised us with a private room. It was an unreal experience. The food was delectable and my husband and I felt like king and queen of the castle. Looking forward to go back for future anniversaries ❤️

The food was fantastic and a great culinary journey. The wine list is extensive and great. Started with champagne tableside and an extraordinary bottle of wine with dinner. Service seemed a little wonky and was the reason this was not a 5 star experience. Having to wait at the front entrance to being left for 10 minutes before we could sit bit never someone at the bar to even get a drink (though they have a wonderful selection of rare wines by the glass which would have been a great way to transition into the evening) to the wait staff at the table seeming discombobulated. Would definitely go back but with the understanding that the service aims for the moon but misses the mark. Quality of food and menu is fantastic.

We had the Lamb tartare which was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend. The porterhouse steak was also delicious. We tried the mushrooms with the steak as a side and they weren’t our favourite but everything else was great.
