18th & 21st brings something fresh and classic to Columbia, Maryland. Named after the Constitutional Amendment that enacted Prohibition and then subsequent Amendment that repealed it, 18th & 21st promises to bring back a bygone era through an elevated, tailored evening experience. Our food and cocktails reflect the feel of prohibition supper clubs. This not to say we're stuck in the past, but rather that we try and emulate the style of that era. That means beautiful presentation, careful crafting, and perfect pairings to keep your night on beat. Combined with live music, this creates an unparalleled experience for the discerning and adventurous looking for a sophisticated evening. Due to the nature of the experience at 18th & 21st we request that all diners be over the age of eighteen.

It was my wife’s birthday and I wanted to take her somewhere special, upscale, good energy & ambience. Well, this place was everything. Jazz music was on point, the food was amazing. Able, who served us was a great host. He was patient, detailed and friendly.

This is the best kept secret tucked away in Columbia, MD. The jazz band was amazing and the ambiance was beautiful. I will definitely be back.

The hostess is always so gracious and really takes good care of me. I appreciate her very much. Abel always knows the wine I would enjoy and always recommends very good wine at a reasonable price point. The food is consistently delicious and the servers are very well informed, attentive (but not overly so), and pleasant. This is my new favorite place and have recommended and introduced/invited quite a few new folks.

Let me begin by saying our server was AMAAZING!!! The ambience and music was perfect! The food was not good at all. The seafood appetizer was too vinegary that it took my voice away… and I love vinegar. The pork chop did not have any seasoning and was tough and dry. The red snapper was not seasoned well. The bread pudding was thick and dry and even if they added more of the drizzle of sauce it would have not made it better. The apple blossom dessert was blah and came out luke warm. The food experience was underwhelming especially for the cost. I would come back for the atmosphere, music, drinks, and service only…. But I would eat somewhere else .

Dinner for 2. Visited on a Saturday night in early March, had an 8 pm reservation. 18th and 21st is lovely and I would definitely come again for the drinks, jazz music, and ambiance. Had the scallops, red snapper, caesar salad, and mushroom soup. The food is ok, I’d rate it a 6 out of 10, although I had soft crab sliders which were so wonderful that I would rate 8 out of 10. I also had two delicious pear mojitos. Our server Abel was absolutely awesome. The band and music were perfect, and despite it being a place that offers live music, it never gets so loud that you can’t hold a conversation. I would definitely go again.

That wasn’t my first time going, but it was my first time on a Thursday evening. It was a much smaller crowd, which was fine. The service was great and so was the live jazz, but it’s more alive on Friday and Saturday evenings. I still had a good time!
