We chose this restaurant based on other reviews and their social media presence. The starters of pate and hummus were lovely, the meatballs described as ok. We ordered a medium cooked ribeye steak with triple cooked chips, medium rare fillet steak with triple cut chips, a wagyu stack burger with triple cut chips and a billy bonkers burger. When the food arrived, it looked lovely, but as all restaurants seem to do these days is go for fancy presentation. The steaks arrived on wooden chopping boards with a small metal plate in the centre presenting the steak. All of the sides (peppercorn sauce, salad, chips) all came in separate bowls. There was no space to put things together and just felt clumsy to eat. The steaks were overcooked, definitely not medium and medium rare, and so were a little tough. The triple cut chips were more like giant wedges, which were nice, but just crumbled when cut. The burgers were nice, the billy bonkers more successful than the wagyu, which was overly sweet. 2 chocolate fudge cakes were ordered, which were really nice. The bill came to just over £230 which was on the expensive side, considering only 2 of the party were drinking alcohol and only had 2 courses. I don’t mind paying a good price for good food. Unfortunately this was just average. The setting was nice, but cold. Would I go back, no. But maybe my expectations were too high because their social media profile and photographs were so good.

Staff were polite, and service Ok. Only issue was that one of the starters brought to the table was the wrong prawn dish. I didn't send it back as it would have delayed the meal. Told the person I charge and just hope he's put something in place to prevent reoccurrence.

Second time we have been here. Service was excellent , food was really good again . We had ribeye and sea bass. A special mention for the chips and the caramel cheesecake. 2 very decent cups of coffee to round it off. Good atmosphere as well.

The staff here were lovely - very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, as were the cocktails. There was a nice relaxed ambience and it was buzzy without being too loud. Would definitely recommend

The food was absolutely delicious, best Seabass I’ve had in a very long time. The wife had a burger & that was also delicious. Great service for how busy it was. Be sure to book ahead as lots were being turned away as full.
