   We ordered 3 different entrees. Each was 5 star. So lucky to have this local, underappreciated GEM of a restaurant in our neighborhood.

   My wife and I went to the 34th Street Cafe for her birthday. Travis, our waiter, was terrific and made our evening enjoyable. The Salmon that both my wife and I had was excellent! Their wine list is plentiful but not over whelming. We live south of the city and it is worth the drive to be able to enjoy such a great restaurant!

   We really love the cafe, but the ‘singular’ waitress was overtaxed with waiting the few tables that were occupied. We felt for the waitress… she looked frazzled. We had a mix up in the food delivery which threw off the evening. We all agreed that there needed to be more help to prevent these simple mistakes….

   This is one of our neighborhood bistros. Always see friends there. The wait staff are veterans. Great wine selection and weekday specials make it a value in today’s expensive restaurant scene. Fried Shrimp, Chicken Piccata, and the Hack Salad are our favorites.
