56 West Smithfield was founded by a family of winemakers, with a passion for creating unique, hand-crafted wines.

Our family vineyard, Château De La Cômbe, is a small, boutique vineyard in Provence. Determined to make exceptional reds and whites in a region renowned for its rosés, we spent years lovingly restoring the chateau and estate, rebuilding the winemaking cave with state-of-the-art equipment and re-planting and tending to the vines. It wasn’t long before our organic wines began winning international awards – a testament to quality winemaking in Provence.

Eager to share our wines with the world, we partnered with like-minded, family-owned and boutique wineries to bring our rare and wonderful wines to you at 56 West Smithfield, without costly intermediaries.

    First time here and I can’t wait to go back! Such a lovely and comforting space, the wine is fantastic and the I recommend the charcuterie boards. The value is pretty reasonable, the range in prices means you can really enjoy yourself without breaking the bank.

    Lovely venue with great choices and unusual wine options. The space provides lots of discrete and very comfortable areas but the amount of stairs must be a challenge for the staff (who are lovely). The cheese was a highlight too

    Great value wine list, really liked the living room design , very relaxed and homely feel. It's definitely a place you could easily get steeled in for the night enjoying the wines and food.

    I booked here for drinks on my partners birthday and it was perfect. They were very accommodating and reserved us a really nice area for the special occasion. The wine was lovely and the servers were very attentive. 10/10 would recommend.

    I don't know what to say really, they weren't busy but we were completely ignored and would've happily stayed longer or served ourselves... I had precisely three conversations. 1. I ordered a glass of rose cremant; "Only a glass?"; 2. I ordered some saucisson; "You don't want the charcuterie board"; 3. Can we pay please; "You're leaving already?". If you want people to stay, maybe come to take their order, and check in on them, once, maybe twice. Maybe think about if you want guests in the first place in your bottle shop.
