Offering elevated modern American cuisine by Chef Javier Lopez, 71Above boasts breathtaking ocean views from Malibu to Laguna Hills, along with spectacular views of Los Angeles and the surrounding mountain ranges. 71Above is a Michelin level experience featuring the finest ingredients, world-class wine list and craft cocktails. The Restaurant and Skylounge have a Smart Casual dress code. Jackets are not required however, no hats, athletic wear, shorts or flip-flops are allowed. Reservations are held for 15 minutes.

71Above features a 3 course Prix-Fixe menu for dinner only. We kindly ask all dining room guests to participate in the coursed menu. Please be aware, any seating requests are noted, but not guaranteed. WINDOW TABLES ARE NOT GUARANTEED. 18% service charge is added to all checks.

Valet is available at 633 W. 5th Street or Self parking is available under the building at 633 W. Hope Place. $18 for 3 hours.

A culinary experience for the adventurous omnivore. Reserve one of two booths facing our open kitchen for a front row seat as our culinary team creates your custom five course menu. This immersive experience is not for the picky eater and is perfect for Angelinos, visitors, and celebratory occasions alike. Each booth can accommodate up to four guests and is right in front of all the kitchen action with the city views behind. An 18% service charge is added to all guests checks and is distributed 100% to the hourly restaurant staff. Please note that while we attempt to accommodate most dietary restrictions, there are instances where we cannot meet every limitation including but not limited to, gluten free, dairy free and vegan diets.
3 Course Dinner with Hightop Bar Seating
Multiple dates available
High Top bar seating for our 3 course dinner menu. Please note this is a high table with high bar chairs for seating. These tables are in our bar area and can accommodate 8 to 14 guests. Reservations for cocktails only are unavailable at this time. Menu and prices subject to change. An 18% service charge is added to all guests checks and is fully distributed to the hourly restaurant staff. A credit card is necessary to reserve the table but will not be charged unless the party late cancels or no shows. Business casual dress code required. No sports wear, flip flops, shorts or ball caps allowed.

It was an interesting experience. When I arrived, they told me the window tables were only for people with reservations, even though the restaurant was completely empty. I booked a reservation on my phone right there, and when I came back, they sarcastically gave me a window table. It was funny in a way, but the front desk staff and the manager definitely need to improve their approach. This was my fifth time dining here, and it reminded me of those Instagram videos where you think, “Why would you lie?” Even when we left, there were still about 9 empty window tables.

It was really nice, we loved everything, we always have enjoyed every moment at 71 , we strongly recommended, the food is absolutely amazing and the view is stunning , we love it . Always will be the right place to take my girlfriend … she will have a amazing smile!

Beautiful restaurant with spectacular views. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the French71 cocktail, which was delicious too.

We were seated promptly and had an amazing view (we really enjoyed this)! Servers were all so attentive and efficient. We had to end the dinner a little early for another event, and we were accommodated and assisted. Thank you! We will definitely be dining here again the future.

View was amazing, service was ok, food was fairly average and disappointing for the price. Shockingly, the men’s urinal was broken and overflowing. NOT OK.
