This was our first time at 87 Sussex. We had been looking for a reason to come as the menu, while delicious looking, was on the very pricey side. New Years Eve seemed like a nice special occasion for a splurge. We are glad we did as the food was delicious and the service attentive. The mushroom risotto appetizer was amazing and more than enough for 2 people to share. We will definitely come here again when we have other special occasions to celebrate.

This is such a hidden gem in the neighborhood! While it’s a little pricey, it was really amazing food that was beautifully plated, with great service. For a special evening, it’s a wonderful option. And if you compare it to similar dining across the Hudson, it’s actually probably a good value…

Our second dining experience at 87 Sussex - wonderful again. Great food with perfect flavors, and amazing mocktails. Staff professional and attentive.

We have lived in Jersey City for nearly 15 years. Truly the best food we have had to date -- white table cloths, pretty plates and even better food. I am so happy to have finally found 87 Sussex
