    A table for 10 is never easy but Martinique made it feel cozy! The food was delicious, excellent humus, babaganush, labne and great bread. The brunch salads and sandwiches were fresh with a great portion size. The pomegranate, carrot, ginger juice was the perfect "pick-me-up" after the Tropical 5K! We had 3 great desserts, the lemon-olive oil cake so moist and just the right citrus flavor, the labne cheesecake that has just become my favorite and Martinique brought us a complimentary soft serve ice cream with sesame and all the flavors of the Mediterranean! Such a generous treat!

    We are from Baltimore and don’t live in the area, but always come to Abbalé every time we visit. The food is delicious, I think about the hummus all the time. But our favorite thing about Abbalé is our waitress, Martinique. She is phenomenal and is the reason we keep coming back. There are other Israeli restaurants we’ve thought of trying in the area, but always come back to Abbalé to see Martinique. She remembered us after it had been over two years since she’d first waited on our table, and something like that goes a long way. Every time we come back, she is so sweet and so helpful. Last night when we were there, she was also waiting on a bachelorette party, and they had asked her to take a picture of their table, and Martinique went above and beyond for them. She was getting every angle, holding lights up to make the pictures better, taking videos, doing everything she could to make their experience great. She’s a huge asset to this restaurant, the reason clientele returns, and we are already looking forward to our next visit where we’ll request to be seated with Martinique again!

    Despite being a busy Sunday brunch time we had friendly and attentive service and the food was fresh with wonderful flavors. We sat outside. Will return to sample desserts.

    Our waiter, Martin, was great. Appetizers and sides were all delicious. Mains: chicken and lamb chops were overcooked and dried out. Bronzino was fine. Next time, we'll stick to apps and sides.
