Truly a neighborhood gem! The array of cheeses is not to be believed and we absolutely loved the "fried chicken" which wasn't what we expected. What arrived was a perfectly crispy piece of chicken plopped on a bed of grains with kimchi. It was delicious! All their starters are fun and their "basic salad" is large enough to share. The sommelier is very knowledgeable as is the cheese monger. We highly recommend Agnes!

Although the cornbread eclair remains my favorite and is always enjoyable, the new dish I was excited to try (the Lamb French Dip) was not. I know it's a new take on a traditional thing, but the best thing (in my opinion) about a French Dip is that the meat is the star. It's thinly sliced and accented only by the au jus. The gravy/sauce on the Lamb French Dip was way too much. It became the star. It was thick and had cheese in it, so for me, it will not be something I order again.

Great food , good staff and minimal menu. Which means everything is good. Drinks Apps and entrees were all good. I will say no more.

Lovely brunch - fantastic menu with a varied choice including charcuterie boards and salads. Do not miss the chicken liver parfait on cornbread or the tater tots! Patio was covered and peaceful out of the sun and the shop put the front is so tempting. Service was excellent!

Enjoyed the sourdough bread, lamb French dip, Bebe salad greens, and scallops. Standouts were the cornbread chicken liver mousse and banana bread pudding. We did shared plates and that worked out great. Service was great and both the chef and owners checked on us. Would have liked a lighter volume on the sound track to facilitate conversation. Definitely recommend

The music was awful. I felt like I was eating at a Buffalo Wild Wings. They played Hanson and Paula Abdul hits. 🤦🏻‍♀️Not what you'd expect to hear while paying $200 for a meal.

As always Agnes was a culinary experience! The service was amazing and the food was worth the wait! We were here for a holiday party and we had to wait a month before the celebration 💖 The wine, tator tots, quinoa grain bowl, leek and artichoke dish were hits with everyone! Thank you so much to the staff and chef and Agnes! The party was a hit!

I recently dined at Agnes for lunch with eight friends, and while the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious as always, there were a few issues that left me disappointed. Our reservation was originally for nine people, but one guest became ill and canceled. We updated the reservation on OpenTable and also called the restaurant to confirm the change. Despite this, we were charged a $25 no-show fee, which felt unnecessary given the notice we provided. Additionally, as a large party, we were handed a pre-fixed menu without prior notice. While the food was excellent, the $45 per person price was quite expensive and wasn’t communicated to me when the reservation was made or upon arrival. What I found most frustrating was the unexpected 4% “donation fee” (listed as an LA charge). I’m a generous person and happy to contribute to causes, but this fee was not communicated in any way. Had I not requested an itemized bill—something I strongly recommend all diners do—I wouldn’t have even noticed it. On top of this, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, and I ended up paying a tip on both the 4% fee and the $25 no-show charge, which felt unfair. I love Agnes and greatly admire what the owners have created, but I believe they need to improve their communication and transparency. Customers should be informed about additional fees and policies upfront to avoid unnecessary frustration.
