   I reserved and asked to be in the back room, we were seated instead right under a speaker in the front room. I took quite a while to get a waitress to order. When we did , it was pretty simple. However, when the dishes came out one entree was wrong. Three entrees came out. But mine was not what I had ordered leaned into myface and said this plate of creamy ravioli was what I ordered. I had ordered lasagna. She did not agree. So I took it home for my husband. Lesdon to wait staff, listen anf if an order is wrong replace it with out arguement. Wjile we live the food, not seating us where we requested, not giving me what I ordered list uou good business.

   First timer and my impression of Agrodolce is the same i get from a Caesar salad. Somebody may like it, but it’s not Italian. Let alone Sicilian, whose cuisine is so original within Italy. IMO, the excessive use of garlic, vinegar and lemon felt stereotypical and killed the flavors of everything i ate. Nice ambiance with B&W movies of Toto’ projected on the red brick wall.

   The real deal! We’ve recently moved to Berkeley from Europe, and were delighted to get a taste of the old world here in Berkeley. Prices are also reasonable, which we’ve seen is a real rarity. We will be back!

   Fabulous food and amazing service. Met the owner who talked to us about making limoncello and even provided free tastings of it to us after dinner. A very memorable night!!!

   The bread with their garlic herb olive oil is amazing! And highly recommend the Lamb Shank entree!

   Went there for New Year's Eve. As expected, it was extremely busy. I ordered the six course seafood special. My husband ordered two courses. You would think they would time the food so that we were both eating at the same time. Instead, they brought my husband his starter first. After he was done, I received my first course about 15 minutes later. Then he sat without food for 20 minutes while I had my next four courses. Maybe start me off first since I had so many more courses than him? What made the experience worse was that the wait staff were completely incompetent, constantly over promising and under delivering. Don't tell guests that the food is coming when it's going to be another 15 minutes. I thought they were extremely fake and clearly untrained. I got the impression they were the owner's kids. In the end I didn't mind terribly because it was New Year's and I knew it would be busy. The couple next to us were not as patient. The woman kept yelling out "Am I going to get any food!!!!" It was quite entertaining.

    Terrible experience. We had a 7:30 pm reservation , we were seated and then ignored for about an hour. The staff and the owner were catering to a party of 16 and didn’t care at all for our table of five. The food was not worth the long wait and the rude way we were treated. We will not return. You ruined our New Year’s Eve celebration.
