   I took my girlfriend her for her birthday. I was looking for a different experience then the typical river north or west loop restaurants which are very expensive. We were greeted at the door and made to feel welcomed right away. We were seated right away and made simple talk with the owner and the chef as we waited for the other couple that would be joining us for dinner. As soon as they arrived, the owner thanks us for coming and told us how the concept works. The drinks he made were delicious. The food was next level. Every dish was delicious. They actively are engaged with you the entire time. Honestly, it felt like you were at a friends house have dinner instead of being at restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the experience and especially for the food!

   My second time at Aji and once again I'm blown away. Each piece of sushi tastes much more complex than you'd expect, and each piece is so different from the last. The small team of staff and chefs are attentive, personable, and great at what they do. The music in the background is also awesome. While their drink list isn't massive, the options they have are really high quality (particularly the sake). Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a delicious and fun evening, whether for a special occasion or date night. And I never leave feeling hungry, which isn't always the case with omakase.

   Thank you for being flexible, I had to change my reservation and they were so accommodation . Your team was able to create a fantastic welcoming atmosphere that meant the world and more to both my wife and me. The way you welcomed everyone at service was just pleasant to watch. So that’s just the experience from how we felt. The presentation was amazing the cuts and creative expression was top tier. The flavor was in the words of Future, “sensational”. Every single piece had its own aroma, texture, and character. Sushi is a celebration, and you guys are a festival. Thank you and may all the good things in life visit you daily.

   An absolute blast. The nigiri was incredible, great combination of traditional and modern elements. The chefs were incredibly friendly and talkative while maintaining precision and focus. I would absolutely go back, best under $200 omakase I've had by a longshot.

   It was amazing!! This was my first omakase experience & it was everything I ever dreamed of. It was so intimate only having max 10 people there & felt so special. Couldn’t recommend this place more
