Alexander's Craft Cocktails and Kitchen was named after the distillery located on the grounds from 1861-1865, which washed away in a flood (historic marker located between the restaurant & The Manor).

The newly renovated main bar is located on 1st floor, and opens onto expansive wrap-around, creekside porches. Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies.

The warm aubergine & copper walls of the third floor lounge contrast the amazing art representation from local galleries. The stunning view of Salado Creek as well as the grounds of the neighboring estate provide the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite beverage. Patrons choose from a variety of entree selections, appetizers, and adult beverages.

We had dinner for our 54th Anniversary! It was the greatest meal from beginning to end! The beef tenderloin was so tender we could cut it with our fork ….super delicious! We had the Autumn Bread Pudding with gelato to cap off the night!! The service and ambiance was super! We loved our experience and will definitely go back again!

Had a wonderful 20th Anniversary dinner here last night. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. We have been here a few times now and have never had complaints. The food is always fresh and not over seasoned.

Service was excellent; food was excellent. Issues were related to seating. We were seated next to the only other people in this section of the restaurant. This particular group of three were slurping on their clams which was a bit annoying and speaking to each other at a volume not commensurate with a fine dining environment. Based on the emptiness of the restaurant on this particular night, would have been nice if the hostess had seated us with more space instead of next to the only other group in the restaurant. Other than that, the door to the kitchen was open and you could hear every word coming out of there across the dining room. Maybe on a busier night it would not have noticed but with such few guests at the time all I could here was the kitchen staff carrying on and the people sitting right next to us eating their clams. Not quite the seating experience I expected as this was the first time I had eaten at Alexander's. But again, food was most excellent as well as the service.

Dinner and drinks were great! We had the brussel sprouts, salad, lobster mac n cheese, grilled shrimp, and shrimp and grits. Mojito was delicious!

It was fabulous as always, and Clara, the most wonderful weight staff ever, makes the experience even that much better. Alexanders is my all-time favorite.

The Alexander is one of our favorite places in Salado, but mostly because our favorite waitress, Clara, is there! The food is always amazing, the cocktails and wine list are incredible and the place, ambiance we love so much. We keep coming back!
