Alla Famiglia has been delighting local and traveled guests in this very same location for over two decades. This "diamond in the rough" is conveniently located on the hilltop of Pittsburgh's South Side. Boasting a fine dining atmosphere, its family owned and operated, and promises to deliver a consistent product with every visit. You will be greeted and treated like family, as you enjoy homemade scratch Italian specialties, an award winning wine list, and complex scratch cocktails. Dine in an old world atmosphere under paddle fans, exposed brick, antiquities from all around the world. Six unique and interestingly decorated dining rooms comprises the character of this institution which started with just 8 tables, 25 years ago. Choose from daily provisioned fishes and exotics from the sea, dry and wet aged Prime beef, tender milk fed veal, and homemade maccheroni are just some of the choices you will have to select from. Crown the evening with our pastries prepared on site.

Specifically asked not to have a high top table when booked months in advance they said that was all they had. Knee issues and that’s uncomfortable was very uncomfortable for 2 1/2 hours last two course took over a half hour to come pasta was cold by the time we got main course Waitress was wonderful

My family has been here many times. It must of been an off night because the food did not have a lot of flavor and that’s coming for all 6 of us. The service was extremely slow.

We have been so excited to try this restaurant! We kept seeing it all over social media and it just didn’t hit the expectations that we thought it would. Food was definitely delicious and homemade tasting but was pretty pricey.

This was our first visit. We were able to score a last minute reservation as we had been watching due to no availability. We were quickly greeted by Dasia followed by Clinton. Clinton gave us great recommendations and guidance on ordering. We had great service by the two of them. Our food was Amazing.

The food was amazing- way more than we could eat but so good! The service was incredible. They made us feel very special. Everyone wished us a happy anniversary and they brought us biscotti for desert on a plate that said happy anniversary! And they went above and beyond when our boxes of leftover pasta got lost- they made us fresh and wrapped them up to go for us. What a great experience!
