The dining experience at ALLEGRÍO gives a new flavor to traditional Italian cuisine represented by the combination of local and regional Roman dishes and Pizza Napoletana.

At Allegrío it is not the customer who adapts to the place, but it is the place that adapts to the customer! In fact, for each state of mind, a meeting point has been designed for atmosphere, design, and menu.

Each room stands out with wallpapers, decorations and the ad hoc hand-painted designs.

The sun, logo and symbol of ALLEGRÍO, has four souls that correspond to the four rooms of the restaurant: JOYFUL, LUCKY, INTREPID, IN LOVE.

    It was a quiet Tuesday night in late October which meant we had the dining room pretty much to ourselves. We had the Set Menu with wine pairing. The food reflected traditional Italian food and each dish was delicious. If you get the chance, do book a night in Allegrio.

    Last night in Rome and found this special restaurant across the street from our hotel. The appetizers and food were amazing especially the zucchini and lasagna! The rooms each had their own theme! Book your reservation- the staff are amazing and the food was a delight!

    The carbonara was prepared tableside by a surly staff who either didn’t want to be there or who clearly hated their own lives. I dared to think when going out for a special night to a place I’d never been in a country I’d never been the looks I’d gotten from everyone who encountered me would have been less hostile or judgmental. Our server dropped two sodas at the table and never ventured back to see if we’d finished them or wanted but apparently had an abundance of time to stand still within earshot of us talking about us to another server. Yes, we’re a married same-sex couple; and yes, I speak Italian. No question of whether we enjoyed the meal (not outstanding) and no offer of dessert. I felt justified in leaving no gratuity. A first for me. And a definite last going to Allegrío.
