   We celebrated our Anniversary at Alo and had the best time! The service is impeccable and the food is the best we've had! Kudos to the team for being amazing! Everyone will make sure you have the best time! We are amazed with their attention to every detail! We definitely had the best time!

   Excellent dining experience at Alo. I went with my parents to check out their tasting menu and we all enjoyed it. Implementing Asian flavours into French dishes was very innovative and brought surprises.

   We came here to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. We were really looking forward to it, and they did not dissapoint. The food was absolutely incredible. Each course was better than the last. Michael, who looked after us for the night, was so kind and thoughful. We were so lucky to have him take such great care of us. At the end of the meal, they brought out a special additional cake to celebrate my sisters bday. It was the perfect end to a lovely meal. I highly recommend it for special occasion dinner, you will not be dissappointed.

   Truly a must experience. Each dish was a masterpiece on its own, and combined together the dinner was an epic experience of explosive flavours. The attention to each detail of the service was extraordinary. The dinner did take nearly 4 hours, perhaps longer than usual (as I think they were running a tad behind on the night we were there). But given how exemplary the food and service was, we were happy to go with the flow and enjoy the night. Colin

   This is my third time visiting Alo in the past 3 or so years - it's an exceptional restaurant and a decadent experience worthy of its entry price. I've never had an opportunity to make a special request until now, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with how the team handled it: Three days before the dinner, I had asked the reservation confirmation team if any wagyu or fatty beef on the menu could be substituted, given that my girlfriend gets an upset stomach with wagyu - it's not an allergy or dietary restriction. Still, it IS a source of discomfort so we'd like to avoid it whenever possible. This was also something that was confirmed with our server when we arrived at the restaurant. The kitchen was gracious enough to switch her wagyu course to a veal, HOWEVER, they neglected the not-so-minor detail that there was also wagyu in ANOTHER course - the risotto and wagyu/mushroom dish. I'm a detail-oriented person, so it drove me a little nuts that they (the reservation staff, the waiter, and the kitchen) had missed this. Again, this is a bit of a nitpick and a minor inconvenience at best, but I would expect a restaurant of this caliber to catch this - the best of people can make mistakes, but my request went through not one but at least TWO staff members. I'm sure this is an issue of miscommunication, but it leaves much to one's imagination as to whether the exceptional "Alo experience" is simply a singular experience, and that deviations from the menu might somehow downgrade that. I had always thought that special requests were something to be "catered to", and that the restaurant listens and serves as a platform not only to be extra-pampered but also to be pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful nature of fine-dining's ability to meet individual customers where they are. I will certainly be coming back again in the future - but the standard that I hold Alo to will be ever slightly lowered by this singular mishap.
