   Very welcoming atmosphere and great choice to celebrate for my husband’s 45th birthday. Beautiful open concept dining area, welcoming to our party with two tween aged kids (I asked ahead of time). In fact, saw another couple with their baby stroller so for all those moms and dads out there, you don’t have to get babysitting to enjoy a special meal at Alobar! We went for Saturday night which has live jazz music - three piece band at front which created a nice ambiance. Servers are very professional, know the menu well and don’t need to take notes. We had tuna tartare (bright flavours), duck cavatelli and filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly, portions were perfect or a bit too much! I had to waive the white flag and could not finish. Even the chimichurri sauce was flavourful. Dessert even better - we had the Mille feiulle but we enjoyed the cheesecake even more with the side dish of fresh warm berries. Again, could not finish as the serving was generous- always a nice problem. Also, the servers were so attentive with new plates, water refills and table cleaning between courses. Definitely will come back but I’ll have to wait, I’m too stuffed with delicious food! I’ve been to Alouette and Alobar is a notch even higher.

   Outstanding meal and service. Everyone loved their food and the server was attentive and knowledgeable. Our clients were impressed. Order the bread. We will definitely be back.

   Very nice looking restaurant. I had the Australian flank bottle of wine ( the cheapest French red on the menu ) and oysters and a side of fry’s. Steak was probably one of the best iv had ever which justified the price, the wine was also excellent, oysters were great too, fry’s were mediocre, epically for $14plus tax. Service was great, Over all very nice higher place to dine

   Food was exquisite- corkage fee is a bit steep at $80. Our wine was not decanted at the table which we would have preferred. The service overall was great. Noise level was very high but the jazz music was incredible
