   Love this place! Every time I visit Maui/Lahaina, I come here at least once. The outdoor seating is right on the water and we watched a gorgeous sunset while we ate. The plates are scrumptious, very filling, and quite inexpensive. I had the Kalua Pig plate with rice and salad for $17.50.

   Local south Maui resident coming back to Lahaina to support local businesses. Unfortunately, the food quality at today’s lunch was subpar by far. We ordered 3 of their Mix Plate combo that included teriyaki beef, chicken and fried fish. To be honest the beef came out and looked like dog food and was like the tiny scraps of meat from the bottom of the buffet trough at Circus Circus Reno. It was so gross. The chicken appeared to have been made earlier in the day and was dry. So overall, there are many other food trucks or plate lunch places that provide better products and better overall quality. The good news is the space is beautiful right on the water.

   We were so appreciative they let us come earlier than our reservation. Our server Lilly was exceptional, she was very caring we really enjoyed her. The food was outstanding too

   Everything we ordered was outstanding. The mixed plate was perfect. Every item was solid. The pig was excellent as well. Great environment as well.

    Aloha Mixed Plate is in a great location, Oceanside on Front Street, which is why I give it a 3 star. The only problem with it being right next to the Lu’au is that the Lu’au is quite loud so it’s difficult to have a conversation if you’re sitting Oceanside by the corner where the Lu’au is. Service wasn’t great. We were being rushed to order and finish because they close at 9pm but we had to wait for our table to be ready, which was fine because we knew they were really busy, but we should have been given time to finish. They also didn’t put knives on the table - only forks, which was very weird. And when we ordered a bottle of wine, it was not opened in front of us - it was plunked on the table with 2 glasses and the already opened cork stuffed in it for us to pour ourselves - and it was a red wine (Cabernet) sitting in an ice bucket - also weird The island fish of the day was overcooked and the kalbi short-ribs that my husband had were good but not fantastic. Starters were very average- garden salad and coconut shrimp. When my husband asked for recommendations and favourites to help him decide, the server said it was too much pressure and left it to him. We also had to repeat our order a couple of times because she would forget it a minute later. Not a great place for people with a gluten intolerance either as there are not many dishes without gluten to choose from. Prices are much more reasonable than other restaurants though. This place might be better for lunch because of the location/view.
