We serve simple tasty home-style cuisine with hearty goulash, dumpling specialties, Kässpätzle and a savoury snack plate as well as a sweet finish with a selection of traditional Alpine desserts like Marillenknödel, Dampfnudeln, Palatschinken or apple strudel.

    If you're looking for a taste of authentic German cuisine in the picturesque town of Vail, then Alpenrose is an absolute must-visit. It was my best meal in Vail these past 4 days. The warm wood accents, exposed brick walls, and cozy fireplaces create a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for a relaxing meal coupled with great service.

    If you’re looking for a great place to people watch in vail and aren’t worried about noise this is the spot. The German food is honestly subpar, the service is spotty although our server was kind in the moments she was actually around, and the lack of people controlling their kids or the restaurant stepping in to deal with it was bad. Still tipped over 20% as is customary in the USA. We skipped dessert and won’t be back but to Alpenrose, but definitely will be back to the beautiful Vail Village.

    Ambiance and interior design is a 10! Whole family loved it. Cocktails were a 10. Pork shank was the best thing on the menu. Everything else is okay. Wry fast service! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Vail!

    We hadn’t been here in awhile and took friends. We were so impressed we’re going back tomorrow. The soups, chilis, pretzels all just blew us away as did the service. We were all sharing each food because we all thought ours was the best!
