   We went to Alvin's for brunch. The food was fine but not anything special. I found the potatoes and eggs to be under seasoned and the Canadian bacon on the Benedict was cut so thick that it was not very enjoyable to cut and chew. Some other critiques: - We waited for nearly 10 minutes to be greeted at the host stand. Despite several staff members making direct eye contact with us, no one gave us the courtesy of waving or saying a simple "someone will be right with you". - There was no salt and pepper on the table and the eggs on both dishes were clearly unseasoned. By the time the server came by we were too far into eating to bother asking for it. - As mentioned earlier, the Canadian bacon was extremely thick-cut. However, I wasn't provided with an appropriate knife to cut it with. I actually ended up taking it off of the Benedict and didn't eat most of the meat because it wasn't pleasant to chew and had no seasoning on it that I could discern. The musicians played well and the general ambiance was nice. I would return for music and dancing on a weekend but I won't eat here again. The food is not worth paying that much for.

   🌟This was my second attendance at Alvin’s Jazz Club within a 2 wk. period. The first, an evening with a group of 20 in a private room. So pleased with the total experience, that it brought me back for an intimate Sunday brunch for 3. It has quickly become a new Favourite. 🎷🌟

   HORRIBLE. Service was slow, food was cold and not made as ordered. I will never go to a brunch here again, the entire table of 4 was shocked by the service and the quality of food delivered to our table. 3 cups of coffee over 2.5 hours being there, had to ask each time for more coffee, eggs beny was delivered cold, one was not made as ordered, other dish had eggs made their way, not the way ordered, and the dismal amount of hollandaise sauce was a joke. Save your money, McDonalds would probably be better. Shame on you Alvin’s.

   Had never been before and went in with expectations similar to what I’ve come to expect of Chairman’s. Service was fair, decent. No real complaints but nothing overly welcoming. Food was also mediocre. Med-rare NY strip came out closer to mid-well. By the time I got a new steak (also overdone), my friends had all finished eating and had their plates cleared. Restaurant did comp the meal but was still a disappointing experience overall as it didn’t live up to expectations, especially given the price point.

   Our calamari was overcooked and the chicken was very dry. Deserts were great! Service was fantastic.

   We have been Going to Alvin’s as a Christmas family tradition for years. This time unfortunately, it was a very bad experience and was not dealt with properly (service issues) I’m not sure that will go back after this. Unfortunate for sure. Tried to call to explain and no one picks up the phone.

    I was so happy with the food and entertainment. We were in no rush when we were at Alvin's but the wait for our meals was longer than expected. This is definitely not for those in a rush.
