We hadn't been to Amarone in a while (years and years) so wanted to check back in with what used to be a favorite theatre district place for us. What a terrible disappointment! I can honestly say I've had better food at an Olive Garden in Florida. The "holiday" cocktail tasted like cough medicine, the arancini could have been a frozen Trader Joes appetizer, the salad and the risotto were just okay, but without a big flavor, no "wow" factor... just kind of boring. So, we thought, they can't screw up coffee and desserts, can they? Well, YES, they can! The cappuccino and espresso tasted like coffee that had been left on a burner too long. The tiramisu was diner quality. The cheesecake that comes "topped with blueberries?" Yeah - not fresh blueberries. And the cake had definitely been frozen at some point in its past. The audio in the room was the kind of canned Christmas music you'd expect to hear at Target at this time of year (Andy Williams, Mariah Carey, etc.) and way too loud. As a New Yorker, it's always a risk to revisit old places. We get it- things change. It seems Amarone is now owned by a conglomerate... But they took away the *care* in preparing quality meals - along with the wine list and the authentic Italian food.

The food and service were very good. The service was a bit too fast as if we were theatre goers, which we were not. Seating is very tight. I really enjoyed their Salmon dish, lovely! I would go back,

Its a good place. when you first walk in you think this place is tiny but theres more tables. The service was good. Wait staff was attentive and not pushy. What I like is its not overally noisy, its a perfect vibe but maybe because it was bad weather out and not many people around. The food was good a bit pricey but it comes with the territory of Manhattan. I had the NY Steak which seemed small but it was actually pretty good and filling. Had some apps which were great, I had the arancini and loved it. Dessert had great presentation, had the chocolate cake and i liked it. Overall a good place for a small group.

Our welcome & server were outstanding! Food was reasonably priced and good Neighborhood feel to it At one point someone - never introduced themselves came to our table and blurted out - do you have a reservation?! The gentleman that greeted us at the door acknowledged our reservation so this surprised us and still don’t understand who that person was or why he was so vehement in his question (restaurant was half full) so other than that bizarre twist very pleasant dinner experience

The chicken parm and lobster ravioli were delicious. Hands down, best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. Service was fantastic. Will come again before leaving town.
