   My.wife has been following the chef for a year and we’ve never quite been able to make it to the restaurant until now. Often times when you’re really looking forward to eat at a restaurant, it rarely meets your expectations. In this case this restaurant for exceeded her expectations. The chefs play on mixing Italian and Mexican flavors was both creative yet very authentic. I love duck and I love mole but I’ve never had the opportunity to eat them within the same dish! Everything from the appetizers to the tiramisu at the end was extremely flavorful. Even the cocktails came with a creative twist. Not only did we experience a wonderful meal, we had the honor of having the chef serve each dishe and walk us through all of the fabulous flavors we were about to experience. Danielle and Alessandro are really onto something with this inventive cuisine that manages to surprise you while still reminding you why you love Mexican and Italian cooking! We will definitely return to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

   Incredible food with every dish being a winner. Highlights were the chorizo and clams and the sweet potato ceviche which is a vegetarian dish. Sold out so be sure to make a reservation!

   Amiga Amore serves unique dishes and the best part for me was the restaurant owners bringing in a little Mexican and Italian flavors to this Highland Park gem. Looking forward to my next visit.

   You will fall in love with this family owned restaurant. We always think we have a favorite dish then we return and Danielle surprises us with a new special to savor. For me it was Duck, Duck, Duck but last night it was the Veal Tortellini. We order nearly everything on the menu so we can enjoy it all. Word of advice leave, room for the delicious desert specials. 🤣

   They threw a special Star Wars inspired event for May the 4th & collaborated with another talented chef for the event. Absolutely perfectly executed event. From the incredibly creative & delicious food to the hilarious & thoughtfully written menu …the SW related decor and ambiance in the restaurant, friendly attentive service & really fun/delicious drinks … everything was fantastic.

   Overall the food is lovely. We enjoyed every thing that we ordered but there’s really no ambiance. Not unlike many LA restaurants, a 4% kitchen fee and a 3% credit card surcharge soured the mood. Including 10% tax and 20% tip, the bill is 37% above menu prices. Eating out is increasingly unaffordable.

   Lovely restaurant with unique dishes. The space is casual and feels like a very comfortable neighborhood spot. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. While we enjoyed everything we ordered, the aguachile was spectacular, and we also loved the agnolotti. The huitlacoche cacio & pepper is a very unique dish that grew on us the more we ate it—very earthy and satisfying. Looking forward to trying brunch soon.

    We sat outside for a table of 6 plus a toddler. The outside area was perfect for my grandson to run around. Ivan was our server and the chef/owner Danielle even served some of the dishes to our table. This was a lovely, casual dinner with excellent food. All of the dishes were not only beautifully presented but delicious. Its hard to name a favorite but the consensus at the table seemed to be the Elotti Agnolotti, Chorizo con Clams, and the Aguachile. Wonderful evening with delicious food and love to support small business and the locals.
