   I really hate writing bad reviews but this was one of the worst meals I’ve had in the last 5 years anywhere. I was so excited to go based on the reviews. First the good: the waitress was really sweet and helpful. Now the bad: the food. Focaccia was so oily and the dips overwhelmingly rich. The sea urchin pasta was so awful it should be illegal. The pasta was overcooked and the sea urchin so rubbery I had to cut it with a knife and then spit out. Absolutely inedible (and probably unsafe). I canceled my main course after that experience. The dessert was chocolate gelato - it tasted fine but was half melted by the time it got to me. A huge miss in my book.

   Celebrated my friend’s birthday! We enjoyed the food! Duck liver pate was our favorite! Super delicious!

   The food is great. The thumping music, in no way adding to the ambience of the small room, has increased so much from when I was there in March, that it nearly ruined our 4-party dinner. If you’re going to play music, why do you choose thumping music? That’s all you can hear in the small room. The music choice didn’t fit the restaurant at all. It’s not as if it’s full of 20 year olds!

   Innovative menu. Perfectly prepared. Our server was pleasant and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. Kind of a farmhouse atmosphere. Overall an excellent experience

   Fabulous Sicilian dessert with crème, orange peel slivers and nuts!!! Wonderful Burrata, ( although endured the eye roll from the large blond server because we declined the $11.00 bread! ). Spaghetti with Sea Urchin was just OK. The interior atmosphere is rustic and charming ! Although High prices for a meal located within in a strip mall and too much difficulty with having to give your credit card number to guaranty the reservation. A lot of work for a medium experience.

    Always a favorite! We spend a month in LA every year and eat here at least twice. Sooo good. Reasonably priced wine list and sommelier is helpful and does not push you up in price. I liked the food here this time a bit more than Mozza (which is also great!).
