Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Ralph Pausina

From the OpenTable editors: Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. Sit in one of 14 gilded dining rooms to feast on favorites like oyster Rockefeller and soufflé potatoes, both original to the restaurant. Cap the meal with a classic baked Alaska or the house chicory coffee, laced with cognac and triple sec and flamed tableside—it’s New Orleans, after all.

It was loud.. the entire experience felt rushed .. the white French wine from the wine list was brought room temperature.. food was very tasty but not hot (was kind like it had been seating there for a bit) .. crème brûlée was pre flambé

Tourist Trap with below average taste! Seated in a very loud red room with no one waiting on us for ten minutes. Zackery apologized for wait. He was attentive and well trained to clear a table. We both agreed our French onion soup was thick with mushy onions and little broth. The green scallions added to top of cheese made for a bitter bite. Did not enhance the flavor. My Pompano dish came out over done. I hate to sit and stare at my husband while he eats and I twiddle my thumbs! They should have taken my meal off tye bill. When the bill arrived two pompano meals were on the check and one pork chop! Sent it back second one came out cooked perfectly but lacking any flavor. Side of Rice was mush no flavor. Asparagus spears were raw could not eat them. Plate rim was a greasy mess! My Partner had the pork chop and enjoyed the dish but his mashed potatoes were bland and lacked a vegetable. the check for the wait. He was finished when my meal arrived. Will not return go elsewhere for a good meal tourist trap!

Was seated in the Mystery Room. Quiet and intimate...full of history. Take the time to soak in your surroundings and appreciate the significance of this amazing restaurant. Food was outstanding. Got to have the Oysters Rockefeller.

Fabulous food. Excellent service. The Baked Alaska (house special) was amazing, included a Happy Birthday- enormous though, too much for two people, could easily feed 4.
