From the OpenTable editors: Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. Sit in one of 14 gilded dining rooms to feast on favorites like oyster Rockefeller and soufflé potatoes, both original to the restaurant. Surprised how disappointed we were. The best was the people servicing table. The food was poor. Creamed spinach seemed to have little spinach and no taste! Would not recommended to any other tourist or visitor to the city !

Server Chuck was AMAZING!, You need to be patient for your food. The food was good, but not outstanding for the full bill price.

Had dinner with a group from work - all in NO for a conference. Our waitress Shelby was excellent and the man that she had working with her was also very good think it was Roydel. Great food and fun to visit one of the oldest restaurants in NO. Would visit again.

The food and service were outstanding! Alvin, our server was the best! He gave us a wonderful history of the restaurant and took us around to the other dining rooms and above ground wine cellar.

Antoine's is one of the oldest and most iconic restaurants in New Orleans, and we last visited about 20 years ago. The restaurant's ambiance is beautiful and steeped in history, but the menu didn't quite offer the traditional Creole dishes we had hoped for. My husband ordered the Pompano Pontchartrain, which was okay, and I had the French onion soup, winter vegetables, and Shrimp Remoulade. The soup was flavorful with plenty of onions, but the shrimp wasn’t to my liking, and I only had a few bites. Our servers were helpful and attentive, though. Overall, the experience left us a little disappointed.

Food was excellent, ambiance was romantic and beautifully decorated for Christmas, service was very attentive but a little “jerky” or uncoordinated with a 2 man team serving. I ate here 29 years ago for the second time, and 70 years ago for the 1st time. Get to know a certain waiter and ask for him each time if you are a local. That way you will get special treats!

The server from Philadelphia is spectacular. She remembered everything which I ordered 2 nights before (work dinners). She confessed her love for bread and entertained and wowed me and my guests. Thank you and bravo!

The restaurant presents well. We were told gentlemen must wear sports jacket. My husband had to try and pack in a carry on….most gentlemen did not have jackets. We saw a t shirt and a hoodie and a couple of flannel shirts! We ordered the Reveillon Dinner. Good not outstanding. Food was warm not hot. Cocktails were good. I had checked the anniversary box on the reservation. NO acknowledgment… no drink, no dessert, no congratulations on 50 years. Not a big deal but why ask? Our service was attentive and friendly. Pace of the meal perfect.
