Two out of 7 dishes were exquisite but the others were strange and i did not enjoy them. Did not think it was worth the $$ to be honest. The view, service and vibe was amazing but the food lacking.

The service here was impeccable. The lady that served us all night was first rate. I believe her name was Haley and I gave 5 stars for service. I scored 3 for ambience because we came at night so there is no view outside. It was freezing and the place is quite minimalist so it felt a bit sterile and cold. It was “good” but not great. I understand the appeal is probably day time. On the food, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, it was “good” but not outstanding, it wasn’t the taste sensation we had the day before somewhere else or during the week in Adelaide. , we got the wine pairing and the best bit about that was the stories told about the different wineries. We enjoyed that. Value was a two, almost 500 and sorry it was not worth it. To be fair though I do think the standard of food has got so much better that you can get sensational meals for a lot less these days.

Decor and ambience very poor. Seating, lighting feels like you are sitting in a hotel lobby. Food ok. Cocktails terrible. First visited 10 years ago. Will wait another 10!

Likely the best restaurant in Barossa. The setting was wonderful. This modern, serene soft spoken space sits on a knoll with wonderful views. Be sure to experience sunset. As we arrived to The Louse, the door opened and someone walked out to greet us as we walked up the path setting the stage for a welcome experience from the start. Our server was a warm welcoming young gentleman from France and extremely personable and attentive. The daily set menu was flawless and each course was a delight! My husband and I selected different mains and could not decide which was best. Extraordinary! We did not opt for the wine tasting but the pairings we did enjoy were well selected. I requested a special custom cocktail to start and was pleased they were happy to make it happen. The Barossa is a casual, rustic wine region rich with history and Appellation is a polished gem and was a highlight in our visit. (US traveller)

Truly lovely experience. Thoughtful food with smart wine pairings and an incredible view. Try to get there for sunset.
