A modern coffee shop during the morning, then transforms itself into a cozy cocktail bar and lounge with our celebratory Champagne Sabrage Ritual at 6:00 pm daily. Afternoon Tea, another iconic St. Regis Ritual, is served daily from 10:30am to 3pm by reservation only on Opentable. Please note that a credit card authorization is required to guarantee a reservation. I was looking forward to celebrating my daughter’s birthday and booked the Astor lounge. The atmosphere was ok but I felt that the whole lounge was just squished into a section of the hotel. It lacked ambiance and the chairs were not very comfortable. The tea was delicious as were the scones. The pastries were ok but not outstanding as were the sandwiches. It was a nice experience but I think they could improve a few things to give patrons a really exceptional time. Nonetheless my daughter enjoyed which was the reason for booking.

I took my family to Astor Lounge for the High Tea. The aesthetic of the lounge is very nice. We were seated near a window and it was quite drafty, so they had some sort of space heater which blew out dry hot air, so that took away from the ambience a bit. The hostess was pleasant, but I wouldn't say she was proficient at explaining the high tea to us and we had to clarify how it worked. She also didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about the tea or the pastries/desserts. The tea and the food were great, however. Overall, I wouldn't say its an amazing value at $95 per person, but for the experience, it's reasonable for at least a one-time thing.

We went in on a snowstorm day so the lunge was super cold. The food was great and our waitress was very atrending to us but it was hard to sit there in rhe cold as it was right beside rhe lobby with no partition.

Excellent vegetarian savouries made for us for our afternoon tea. Very tasty, we thoroughly enjoyed the savoury sandwiches/apps prepared just for us. Kudos to the chef! Also our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and had the best knowledge of the teas and menu items.

Wonderful afternoon tea for a group of 6. Liked having the glass samples to smell and help select a tea. Stag were very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was excellent with good variety. Didn’t feel rushed at all and it was nice and quiet on the weekend so nice for conversation. Would definitely return. Was a nice touch to get a sample of the St Regis midnight blossom tea and Tom Ford sample fragrance at the end.

Booked this a few weeks in advance for my daughter’s BD expecting a luxurious experience at $95 per person. Instead it was one of the most disappointing afternoon teas ever. We were seated at a tiny table that barely fit the dishes so we had to move them around. There was a draft coming from the main entrance so we were cold and asked to be moved but our request went unnoticed. Food was mediocre at best so I couldn’t recommend this to anyone

The tea was good. Did not enjoy the sandwich/dessert tower. They were all a bit dry. Ambience is decent. Small tables and seats were a bit uncomfortable.
