   I feel like there are a million Sonoma County Cuisine places with lovely menus filled with the same ubiquitous items. Then there is Angie’s is authentic French food from Lyon. French folk consider Lyon to be the food capitol of France, and Augie’s delivers. The dishes are not overly fancy, but rather incredibly well-done food you’d find in an excellent French bistro. It is far and away the best French food in the north bay. Highly recommended if you want a delicious and less expensive trip to France! Augie’s is a bright spot for sure. Also, hard to find French wines, also a treat.

   We have been a few times now and the service is always wonderful. The waitstaff knows the menu and wine list, always willing to give recommendations. Dinner was amazing! Desserts even better!

   The Cocktails were superb for starters. The food equally good. All served casualy and timely. None of the usual noise or loud music. It was a perfect evening out and felt like Paris.

   Bar man was exceptional, asking people to move down so we could sit at the bar, The service was amazing and the food outstanding.

   We love the food here but the noise level is so loud we can't take friends. My husband had the cassoulet and I always get the mussels which came with a creamy fennel sauce (not my favorite). Fries that come with it are amazing. We'll keep coming back when there is just the two of us.

   Food was delicious, flavors exceeded expectations. Coursing seemed a bit willy nilly. We ordered 3 appetizers and they all came at once, cold and hot. It would have been nice to be asked how the dishes were desires to be sent from the kitchen rather than assuming me wanted a “buffet” in front of us. No description of dishes when presented to the table. The person bringing the cheese dropped and started to walk away, I asked what the cheese was and he responded, “this is blue, this is goat, this is sheep” and walked away. I asked the server what the cheeses were and he didn’t know so he sent another server over. He told us the names very quickly and took off. A list of the cheeses or a better explanation should have taken place. The cheeses were perfectly at room temperature, as they should be, and the accoutrement paired nicely. We have been several time but the last two have had what I would call considerable service deficiencies. It doesn’t need to be white glove or Michelin, it just needs to be aware and knowledgeable. The first two time we visited, the server was one of the best I’ve had in the area, some training may be in order based on our last two visits.

   We had a lovely meal of steak frites at Augie's which we've not been able to experience since leaving NYC. We live in Healdsburg and none of the menus of our highly regarded restaurants interested me for my birthday dinner. The food was great and the service was outstanding.

    Excellent cuisine flavors and choices. Our server, Emma, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and had the most welcoming disposition Such a wonderful hostess for our birthday dinner party. Augie’s is a refreshing French restaurant that is now another Stark’s favorite! Thank you for having us!
