   Excellent live atmosphere. Great service. Got seated on time. Ordered herb falafel, radhish hummus, focaccia, and spring pizza. Very tasty. Good portion size. Focaccia with taleggio cheese, truffle oil and fresh herbs was delicious. Must try. Many choices of wine selection. Had bottle of wine - Peculit Neri. Highly recommended Mediterranean restaurant.

   One of the best brunch experiences weve had in Chicago. Spectacular food, great cockatails. Cherry on top was our waiter Michael - could not have asked for a better experience.

   Upon entering the restaurant, I was promptly and courteously seated—a promising start to what would become a memorable culinary experience. I opted for the Roasted Black Cod Tagine, a dish that revealed its brilliance within the first two bites. The cod was impeccably roasted, its tender flakes infused with the deep, aromatic spices of the stew. Each spoonful offered a harmonious interplay of bold Mediterranean flavors—complex yet comforting. Accompanying the tagine was a house-baked pita bread, warm, pillowy, and delicately charred. It served not merely as a side, but as an essential counterpart to the stew—a subtle but masterful “chef’s kiss” that elevated the entire composition. Though initially daunted by the generous portion, I found myself unable to stop—each bite inviting the next until, to my own surprise, the plate was wiped clean. It’s rare to encounter a dish that balances heartiness with elegance so effortlessly. This restaurant is a gem in Chicago’s culinary scene, and the Roasted Black Cod Tagine alone warrants a return visit. I’ll certainly be back.

   Our server, Ian was great. He started us off with a bottle of of bubbly to celebrate our friend's birthday, which was so sweet and unexpected. We had a lovely selection of starters and mains to share and they were all so delicious! Service was lovely and all staff we interacted with were kind and helpful. Our waters were never empty. We enjoyed ourselves over the meal and finished off with a couple desserts. Overall, a lovely night at avec.

   The short rib hummus stole the show. By far the best dish I tried on my entire trip to Chicago. The Deluxe Focaccia was another hit, grateful that Todd our server recommended a side of honey.. the perfect savory touch to an already tasty dish!! Speaking of Todd, his service, knowledge, and recommendations are what made this a 5 star experience! The dates were unique and worth a try! The only miss for me was the calamari that lacked any flavor other than your basic red sauce. Very happy with my experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal!
