   We have been to Avenue Italy quite a few times and have always enjoyed it. We had visitors in town and booked Avenue Italy on OpenTable for last Friday night. We took the time before we went to view the Avenue Italy menu and plan out our meal options. Imagine our surprise when we turned up and the restaurant had changed over to The Little Oliva, a Mediterranean themed restaurant with a completely different menu. The servers brought us drinks as soon as we sat down, probably to ensure we wouldn’t leave after reviewing the menu. Do t get me wrong, the food was fine. But just not what we wanted when we booked Avenue Italy. And we spent around $350 for a meal that wasn’t what we signed up for. We feel duped!

   Wonderful experience but apparently we got in on the last day at this location before it turned into another restaurant. Would have been good to know as all the signage had changed over so we were a bit confused…

   The scallop linguine I ordered was dry on the top. The sauce at the bottom and the scallops were delicious though along with the Caesar salad. The lasagna was overcooked and not as cheesy as we were hoping for.

   Both food and service were substandard. Poor quality food that’ll give you heartburn. First and last time at this place. HORRIBLE!

   The food is always exceptional at Avenue Italy, as is their staff. We always enjoy being served by Mr. Bartolomeo. He is professional, attentive and friendly. We enjoy bringing our friends from out of town to experience the amazing food at this charming restaurant. Excellent value!

   Another great meal at Avenue Italy Trattoria Italiana. We started our evening with the Lobster and ricotta raviolis for the table prepared by Chef Vittorio. Chef Byron then prepared a whole lobster accompanied with fettuccine a arrabiata. One of my daughter' s ordered spaghetti bolognese and it was the best she ever had. My second daughter ordered the scallops with fettuccini. To end our meal chef Vittorio brought out an assortment of desserts for the table consisting of tiramisu , chocolate and vanilla bread pudding. I want to thank the manager., he brought out the most amazing olive oil Strait from his family's farm in Bari Italy, it was the best we've ever enjoyed. Thank you to our wonderful server Nayelly.

    First Time Dining at Avenue Italy Trattoria. I've dined at the Main restaurant Avenue Italy in Rancho Palos Verdes which is 5 minutes from our Home. I have to start by stating how happy I was to have encountered my long time friend, Chef Vittorio Novelli. I have known Vittorio from the days when he owned Il Toscano restaurant on Hawthorne Blvd. I had not seen Vittorio in years and was looking forward to his traditional dishes. We began the night by ordering a couple of glasses of Barolo and the bruschetta which is prepared with amazing freshly baked bread, ripe roman tomatoes, Prosciutto, and a generous slice of fresh mozzarella. my wife ordered the market green salad which she loved ! for the main course she ordered the veal with a red wine reduction and roasted potatoes all cooked to perfection. I had the New York steak medium cooked to perfection. For the grand finally we had Vittorio's famous tiramisu, to be honest I could eat a whole tray...... is sooo good. Our server was excellent and please forgive me for not remembering her name. She was sweet, kind, attentive and amazing server. Vittorio you are doing an amazing job, will be back soon for the ossobuco.
